Supabase stores your account email, a server-timestamped receipt of the current pilot consent, learning outcomes, assignment status, practice results, skill evidence, submitted pilot feedback, and—if you use Learning Partner—partner profile, pairing, encouragement, call, and safety-report data. For push notifications, we store a private device token plus technical app and time-zone details. For writing, we store a text hash, word count, rubric scores, and bounded feedback—not the raw submission. Transcripts, corrections, unfinished activities, retry recordings, and privacy-safe diagnostics remain locally on your device.

Recordings and submitted writing are sent over HTTPS to our API and to Microsoft Azure AI and, depending on configuration, Azure Speech or Deepgram. These third parties process submissions to provide transcripts, responses, and learning feedback. Our API does not persist recordings, transcripts, or raw writing submissions.

LiveKit carries microphone-only audio between two adults who explicitly paired with each other. Deutschbar does not record or transcribe these calls. We store limited call metadata, feedback, blocks, and safety reports for operation and moderation.

Daily practice reminders are scheduled locally on your device. If you enable Learning Partner alerts, Deutschbar uses the Expo Push Service and Apple Push Notification Service or Firebase Cloud Messaging. Notifications do not include transcripts, audio recordings, or your email address.

The account screen lets you export your data as JSON or permanently delete your account together with all local learner-owned content and recordings.

Local data remains until app deletion, an account switch, or account deletion. Supabase learning, feedback, push, and Learning Partner data—including safety reports—is removed with account deletion. Daily usage records contain only pseudonymous identifiers and counters.

This pilot is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. It does not provide a parental-consent flow for minors.
